Local 871 Script Supervisors Training & Apprenticeship Program (SSTAP) Application

Applications will be open from March 7th, 2026 at 12:00 AM and will close April 7th, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST.

Application Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years of age.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
You must have completed high school or have a GED.
You do not have to be a college graduate and no previous film experience is required.

Application Process

Our application process consists of 3 Phases. Please read carefully.

Phase One – The Application
Upon successful and timely receipt of this application and all requested documents, eligible applicants will receive confirmation of the Phase One of the formal assessment process. Incomplete applications will not be considered for further review.

Phase Two – In-Person Group Assessment
Selected applicants will be invited to Phase Two which consists of an in-person group interaction and assessment. This will take place in Los Angeles, CA conducted by a committee of industry professionals.

Phase Three – In-Depth Individual Interviews
Final candidates will be invited to continue into Phase Three of the process which consists of in-depth individual interviews with the SSTAP vetting committee.

We will chose between 12-15 students for our pilot program.
